| My Ron celebrated his 60th birthday recently, and he loves oriental art, so I made this decoupaged design. The card used is really thick black-flocked board. The moon is a crystal gem and the umbrella is made from mulberry paper. All the elements are cut from various papers I had in my box and laid over thin white card for give stability. The geishas' hair adornments are small jewels (even the droplets from the hair pin on the standing geisha) and the hair pins are beaded dressmaking pins. Peeloffs have been used to define and edge. The centre of the fans, the flower and the cuffs of the seated geisha have been glittered. |
